| Car - Kart 100
Tuning Restrictions - Sports Soft tires - 466PP
Track - Madrid Mini
Feature Lap Duration - 35 Laps
This week we take a trip in the smallest racers in GT5, the Racing Karts. BlackJack's lounge to open around an hour prior to our races for practice/tuning/hot laps. Races to begin at 9:30pm eastern. Plan to eat as little as possible over the next week, the more weight you can leave out of the Karts the better, lol. _________________ |

| It's never a good idea to add weight to the kart, no matter what track it is. The key to keep the kart from breaking loose even under bumpy conditions, would be the feather the throttle accordingly along with proper steering input. |

| Yes BC that kart is available to purchase from dealership. Both the standard & DLC kart 100's gets 24hp/85kg @ 477pp after its broken in along with engine rebuild. |

| So PP for the event needs to be raised to 477 by the look of it.
Thanks for the info' Joker. _________________ Fast is Fun! WD #36 |

| Yeh Welsh, i mentioned it to Poker. He said he might of noted the pp off the wrong kart, probably the kart junior. Thing is the dlc kart got fully broken in after 250 miles i believe, then i was able to rebuild the engine to get the maximum pp. Not so for the standard kart, i was only able to rebuild engine on that kart at 400 miles. I'm not 100% sure if i could've done it before, but i'm certain that you'll need over 200 miles before you can do any engine upgrade to both karts. |

| One issue I see then is that most guys won't have 250miles on their karts. I'd be interested to know how much difference in a larger kart track like Madrid Mini that 11 pp makes.
We'll have to try to get together tonight for some testing of the different pp's. _________________ |

| I would think it would make quite a big difference. 11pp in any vehicle would be significant surely? Maybe a Kart is different, I'm not sure. Can Joker do some comparisons if he has a fully broken in one? I'm guessing there is no way of getting Bobby 'B' Spec' to run laps for you either? _________________ Fast is Fun! WD #36 |

| Good point WD, Hopefully guys get a chance to view this thread. Then if most people have broken in karts by Tuesday, we can up the pp limit right in the lounge. _________________ |

| Or, we could also lower the PP limit to make everybody even. Set it at 460 and we'll all have to make an adjustment! Just a thought. _________________ |

| Yeah, my thoughts exactly Dead, I don't believe everyone will have a broken in kart. If this is decided, then we can just let everyone know to drop their pp when they join the lounge on Tuesday evening. _________________ |

| Well both the standard & dlc kart 100's come in at 22hp/85kg @ 465pp straight out of the showroom untouched, so seeing that there will be those who haven't fully broken in their karts as yet, the ideal situation for level performance would be to set pp @ 465, there's no reason to go below that. The karts only cost 5000 credits, so it shouldn't be an issue purchasing one.
Welsh while 11pp would be a significant gap in performance in most types of vehicles it isnt as pronounced in the karts.Yes fully broken in karts have 2hp more and a bit more torque which will help in threshold & exit speeds but it isnt enough to be considered a clear advantage, after all with the right commitment the kart 100 can keep up with the kart 125. |

| Yeah, I noticed that with the 100 vs the 125 as well Joker, mainly in the feel, as I've never had the chance to try to compete against a 125 with the 100. The 100 seems to have better (for lack of a better word) acceleration.
Thanks for checking this out Joker.
I think what we'll do is leave it at 466pp and do a pole of every participants pp in lounge. Then, if driver's have spankin new karts, after one race they should be at the prescribed pp limit of 466. So really, my suggestion to driver's on this one, is to go buy a new kart, practice race it a couple of times and you'll be set for the pp limit.
With the ability to only affect the gear range, this should work out to be one of our closest matches yet.
There are one or two corners that I suggest people get some seat time figuring out. the hair pin before the finish straight is a doozy! It's tough to find the right braking zone to nail it without either scrubbing too much momentum, or spinning. _________________
